  • How many people in Malaysia are under the age of 15?

    In 2002, Malaysia had a population of 24.5 million, with an annual growth rate of 2.2 percent. About 33.5 percent of the population is under the age of 15. Malaysia's population includes many ethnic groups, although the politically dominant Malays are in the majority. By constitutional definition, all Malays are Muslim. And about a quarter of the population is Chinese.
